Ah, the debate on gay marriage. It is a big topic for this country, and quite frankly it is a stupid one. People are trying to say that marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman, not two people of the same sex. I ask why not. Is marriage really that sacred, especially in a country with a divorce rate of over 50%? That is a lot of failed marriages. Recently the first gay couple to get married as divorced, and Stephen Colbert made a joke, but it also holds some truth. He said that divorce is a sacred action between a man and a woman the way god intended it. God wanted Adam to leave Eve, not Steve. In a country where the divorce rate is over 50%, and where most men say that marriage is like being in a prison and it is like going through hell, why not let gay people go through the same thing.
Congress is full of hypocritical assholes. One minute they are trying to fight against violent video games because they generally target a minority group and then they turn around and try to ban the marriage between gay couples. The country is basically being run by people with old south views, such as blacks don't deserve rights, being gay is wrong, and things like that. It seems like all of the presidents try to please the south so they have old southern views. Southern states also have more members in the House of Representatives, so the old south views are being seen there too.
There is nothing wrong with people being gay. I find it gross and disgusting, but there are plenty of things that straight people do in their bedroom that is way more gross and disgusting than seeing two gay people kiss. As a matter of fact here is a tip for gay people to get gay marriage legalized. Use only hot lesbians in rallies that support gay marriage. Hell, use fake lesbians in rallies. Congress and other people are against gay marriage because this is what they are thinking of when this topic comes up:
Now if you would only use hot lesbians in rallies, people would start thinking less about guys getting married to each other and start thinking about people like this getting married to each other:
Now that would getting any straight man to vote to legalize gay marriage. In fact change the word gay to Lesbian and Gay marriage to Gay and Lesbian marriage. If you put the word lesbian second, people would think less about gay guys. I know this sounds like it is missing the point, but congress can't pass legislature that legalizes marriage between women and not men, so in the end everyone would get what they want and everyone would be happy.
